A delightful antique Edwardian era (1901-1915) figural bar brooch, featuring a cockerel whose body is set with sixty-two small, rose cut diamonds, a cabochon-cut red spinel for an eye, and a comb and wattle in bright red enamel. The brooch is fashioned in platinum and 18ct yellow gold with a lever-style safety catch. It can be worn by both ladies and gents on lapels and scarves, or affixed to any outfit for a touch of panache.
No stamps are present, but the gold tests as 18ct purity.
