A show stopping antique Edwardian crescent moon brooch with exquisite details. The brooch is generously sized and studded with eight transitional cut diamonds (with an estimated weight of 0.7 carats) and seven rubies. The gems are set in a silver gallery, while the underside of the brooch and the pin are 8ct gold. The stones have amazing sparkle and colour and the overall effect is very eye catching.
This piece can be worn as a brooch or styled as a chain extender (see photos - chain is not included). Conversion to a pendant with the addition of a bale is also possible.
No hallmarks but tests as 8ct gold.
Brooch measures approximately: 28mm (1.1") x 27mm (1.1").
Weight: 6.6g
Condition: Very good with wear commensurate with age. The gems are in good condition with no major wear or damage. The clasp and pin function well. There is a loop at the back of the brooch which may have housed a safety chain previously. Please see pictures for details and don't hesitate to ask questions.
Cost includes full insurance coverage for loss or damage in transit.
