A sublime Edwardian era (1901-1915) serpent ring, designed as two entwined snakes which coil to encircle the finger in a yellow gold band. Each snake's head is set with a lively old cut diamond. The ring is fully stamped and was made in 1902; it is a beautiful example of the craze for serpent jewellery that held society in thrall beginning in Victorian times.
