The brooch is signed 'Revillon' for the French fashion house founded in the 19th century. This piece dates to around 1900 and the workmanship is high quality. It fastens with a C-clasp at the rear. This piece could be easily converted by a jeweller into to a pendant if so desired, with the addition of a bale and jump ring.
