A rare and highly coveted Georgian era (1714-1836) five-stone garnet band. This beautiful ring is set with flat cut garnets which have been foil-backed to intensify the deep hues of the gems. The 14ct rose gold band has split shoulders and scrolled embellishments to the band. A stunning, eye-catching piece that is perfect when worn both stacked or by itself.
Size K ½ (US 5.75). Resizing not recommended due to foiling.
No stamps are present, but the gold tests as a minimum of 14ct.
Weight (approximate): 1.7g
Measurements (approximate): Band is 5.5mm at widest point, tapering to 1.75mm at the rear.
Condition: Good, with wear commensurate with age. The garnets have some light abrasion to the facet edges and a few small chips and nibbles viewable under magnification. There is a split to the gold of the inner band on one shoulder (which is still secure and intact). Please see pictures for details and don't hesitate to ask questions.
NOTE: To preserve the foiling, this ring should not be exposed to liquids or moisture.
Cost includes full insurance coverage for loss or damage in transit.
