A stunning antique Georgian era (1714-1836) diamond cluster ring in a halo or flowerhead design. The centre diamond is rose cut and surrounded eight smaller diamonds in a closed-back, silver collet setting (diamonds are likely foiled). The band is crafted in 14ct yellow gold, with a reeded design and split shoulders. This piece would make a very eye-catching dress ring, or an ideal gift for a special occasion.
No stamps are present but the gold tests as 14ct.
Size: N 1/2 (US 7.25). Resizable.
Weight: 5.2g
Measurements (approximate): Head is 15mm x 15mm. Band is 1.5mm at narrowest point. Centre diamond measures 4mm x 4mm (visible part only).
Condition: Very good with wear commensurate with age. Centre diamond is bright and white, with a few small nicks apparent when viewed under magnification. There is some solder to the rear of the ring head where it appears to have been repaired. Please see pictures for details and don't hesitate to ask questions.
