An exceptional puffy heart pendant, likely dating to the Victorian era (1837-1901). The pendant features a forget-me-not motif, representative of true love and enduring affection, and the heart-shape itself remains a timeless and universal token of affection and emotional connection.
The front of the pendant is embellished with turquoises arranged in the shape of a flower with a diamond at the centre, against a background of seed pearls. Its rear is as simple as its front is ornate - it has a small, glazed locket compartment set in smooth 9ct rose gold.
No stamps are present, but the gold tests as 9ct.
Weight (approximate): 2.3g.
Measurements (approximate): The pendant (not including jump ring) measures 16mm x 13mm x 7mm.
Condition: Very good, with wear commensurate with age. The gems are all present, and appear to be original. The diamond has some small chips visible under magnification. The gold has light marks and general wear. The fabric lining inside the locket compartment has some discoloration. Please see pictures for details and don't hesitate to ask questions.
Please note: the chain shown in the pictures is not included.
