A unique Victorian era (1837-1901) ball pendant in 15ct yellow gold. Oval-shaped, with repoussé details and an engraved foliate design, the lower half of the pendant rotates to reveal a hidden glass compartment. A rare and unusual antique piece that is sure to attract attention whenever it is worn.
No stamps are present, but the gold tests as 15ct. Jump ring is 9ct.
Weight (approximate): 4.7g
Measurements (approximate): 23mm (including bale) x 17mm.
Condition: Fair, with wear commensurate with age. The engraving to the upper body is rubbed and a number of dents are present. There is a tiny hole to the gold in the pendant's lower half near one hinge. The swivel spins freely and the glass is intact (though I'm unsure if it can be removed for access).
