An antique mourning ring with a difference - rather than the usual sombre black, this bright and beautiful piece band celebrates the life of the departed. Dating to the Victorian era (1837-1901), it features cabochon cut turquoise arranged as a forget-me-not with a rose cut diamond at its centre. Crafted in 15ct yellow gold throughout with detailed foliate engraving and split shoulders, the ring is suitable for wear on the pinky finger due to its small size.

No stamps are present. The gold tests as 15ct.

Measurements (approximate): Head of ring measures 9mm at the widest point, tapering to 2.5mm at the rear.
Condition: Good, with wear commensurate with age. The turquoises are brightly coloured and appear to be original, with small chips and nibbles to a few. The diamond is bright and lively. There is a personalised engraving inside the band reading 'Jane...' but the rest of the words have been lost due to a previous resizing. There is a vacant compartment at the rear of the ring's head and a repair to one shoulder. Please see pictures for details and don't hesitate to ask questions.
