A stunning vintage seal ring of the finest quality and craftsmanship. The ring features an oval-shaped carnelian intaglio, carved with fine detail and set in a heavy band of 18ct yellow gold. Etched into the stone is the latin phrase 'Non omnis moriar', which translates to 'Not all of me will die'. It is complemented by an image of a stag which has been struck with an arrow but continues to stand strong. The line 'non omnis moriar' is taken from a verse by the ancient poet Horace, and implies that we live on after we die through the things we leave behind - our work, our words and our family.
