A stunning vintage Dutch diamond rosette ring in the Georgian style. This sparkling statement piece features 14 rose cut diamonds, foil-backed in a silver cut-down collet setting. The band is 14ct yellow gold with split shoulders and scrolled engraving. The ring itself most likely dates to the mid-20th century, but is set throughout with repurposed 18th century age-tinted diamonds. This piece would make a very eye-catching dress ring, or an ideal gift for a special occasion.
Stamped for the Netherlands (sword mark), 14ct gold, and an illegible maker's mark.
Size N (US7). Resizable within reason (there will be losses to the engraving).
Weight (approximate): 5.9g
Measurements: Ring head measures 16mm in diameter. Largest diamond measures 5.5mm in diameter (visible part only).
Condition: Good, with wear commensurate with age. The diamonds are bright and lively, and the foil-backing is untarnished. There is a small crack in the main diamond at the 7 o'clock position visible when viewed under magnification and there are some natural inclusions. The stones are secure in their settings.
