An eye catching vintage 1960s era Scandinavian minimalist ring. The ring is set with a cabochon cut spinel, glossy and bright with smoky grey hues. The gem is held in an 18ct yellow gold setting, simple in design with fluid lines. This stunning ring is a real statement piece that embodies mid-century glamour.
Fully stamped for 18ct gold, Karlskoga, Sweden, 1961. Maker's mark 'CBH'.
Size O (US 7.5). Resizing is probably not possible due to the thinness of the metal (a jeweller's opinion is recommended).
Weight (approximate): 2.5g
Measurements (approximate): Ring band measures 12mm at the widest point, tapering to 4.5mm at the rear. The spinel is 6.5mm in diameter (estimated as 0.9 carat weight).
Condition: Very good, with wear commensurate with age. The spinel is in exceptional condition, with no eye visible abrasion, nicks or scratches, and excellent clarity. It is unknown whether is it of natural or man made origins. The gold has general light wear and marks. The band is thin and slightly out of round.
